So...

You are probably wondering what a classical musician, holding a Masters degree from a University of Music has to do with informatics and AI. That’s a good question indeed, I am still looking for a definite answer.

I perform concerts together with my two sisters: I am painting as they are playing.

Following the audience's incredibly positive feed-back, I started to think about how I could combine my two passions, how to paint and play the
harp simultaneously expressing thoughts and feelings through two mediums.

I became very keen to know if AI can learn one’s style, personality, intentions in that deepness that it could produce something that one can consider his or her
work.

This was the basic idea of my project called HarpeIMage.

HarpeIMage proposes a dynamic alliance, in real time, between sound and visual, offering a multisensory
experience to the public thanks to advanced technologies. Our creative team is excited to contribute to the communication between artists and audience by bringing a sensory synthesis to concerts and museums.

At the center of a community of digital artists and freelancers, fans of current and future development, besides creating a tool for sound and visual composition, applicable at multisensory shows and interactive exhibitions, we plan to put an accent on HarpeIMage’s place in art education.
We would also like to analyse how this innovative art form can best contribute to the
communication of sound and music to the hearing impaired.
